Reflection – finding joy
Our daily devotional verse of the day with the theme “finding joy“, is a reminder to thank God and to find joy in each day, no matter what challenges or difficulties we may face. It encourages us to embrace the present moment and find happiness in life’s simple things, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future.
Beloved, find joy in the present moment. Be happy and thankful that He has ushered you into a new year. For;
- We are being reminded to look for the good in every situation and find ways to find joy and positivity, even in difficult or challenging circumstances. By doing so, you have a powerful tool for cultivating a more positive outlook on life and building resilience throughout the year.
- We are being encouraged to appreciate the simple things of life, such as enjoying nature, spending time with loved ones, or engaging in hobbies or activities that bring us joy. By taking the time to savor these moments and find gratitude for them, we can cultivate a sense of contentment and happiness that can enrich our lives throughout the year.
- It instructs us to let go of the constant pursuit of more, and focus on finding joy in the present moment. Many people struggle with the idea that happiness is always just out of reach, and as you begin this year, this verse is a reminder to find joy and gratitude in the present moment rather than constantly striving for more, and neglecting the basics.
- We are being inspired to be more mindful and present in our daily lives. By focusing on the present moment and finding joy in the everyday moments of life, we can be more engaged and present in our daily experiences, rather than constantly being distracted or preoccupied with “earthly” things.
Be Inspired!
- To be more mindful of how you spend your time this year. Spend it with God. When you recognize that each day is a gift from God, you become more inclined to prioritize the things that are most important to you and make the most of your time.
- To let go of regrets or regrets about the past. It is the past. Focus on the present moment and the opportunities that each new day brings. Letting go of regrets about the past and moving forward with hope and purpose is healthy.
Indeed, this is the day the Lord has made, let us rather rejoice and be glad for such a wonderful present.
Prayer:
Dear Father God,
As we enter into the new year of 2023, we give you thanks and praise for all that you have done in the past and all that you will do in the future. We rejoice in the fact that each day is a day that you have made, and we pray that you would help us to find joy and gladness in each one.
We ask that you would guide us and strengthen us as we face the challenges and opportunities that the new year will bring. Help us to trust in you and to turn to you in all things.
We pray that you would bless us and our loved ones with health, happiness, and prosperity this year. May your love and grace be evident in all that we do.
Amen.
Have a wonderful year, and in doing so, know that God is the ultimate giver of joy!
