No matter what life throws our way, we can always find comfort and strength in God. Our daily devotional verse of the day is one in which God is speaking to the Israelites, and reassuring them that He is with them and that they should not be afraid. It’s beneficial to seek the presence and protection of God in our lives.

Fear not, for I am with you;
Isaiah 41:10
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Reflection:
In this verse, God tells them explicitly to fear not, nor be dismayed, for He is their God. “
He simply wants them to know that they can trust in His presence and protection and that they don’t need to be afraid of what the future may hold.
God then goes on to say “I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
This is a promise from God that He will provide the strength and help that the Israelites need to get through whatever challenges they may be facing. He will hold them up and support them, just as I hold my daughter’s hand when we have to cross the road.
By this, He reminds them, and by extension us, that He is the one who created and sustains us, and that He will be with us to help us through whatever challenges we may face.
Beloved, we are being encouraged to trust in Him and His guidance and to have faith that He will see us through.
What a message of comfort and encouragement, reminding the Israelites (and all of us) that God is with us and will be there to help us through whatever challenges we face.
Bible verses on God’s presence and protection:
So when David said:
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:4 – “
…he was saying the same thing.
Before Moses’ death, he encouraged the Israelites with:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
So in this verse, God is speaking to the Israelites and assuring them that he will always be with them, no matter what challenges they may face. Although the journey to the promised land is treacherous, they shall make it and cross the Jordan with God’s elected leader Joshua.
What more assurance can the believer have, than having Jesus Christ, when giving out the details of the great commission, that:
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Matthew 28:20 –
Surely, He is with us always. We should fear not. Never let the details of your problems put fear in you to the extent that you cannot even pray. God is with you!
Let’s Pray for God’s presence and protection
Our Father in Heaven,
Thank you for your presence and protection in our lives. We come to you today feeling afraid and uncertain, but we hold onto your promise found in Isaiah 41:10 to fear not or be dismayed for you’re with us and you’re our God. Help us to rest in your promise that you’ll give us strength and help. We await for your righteous right hand to uphold us.
Father, we trust in your love for us and your desire to see us through whatever challenges we are facing. Please give us the strength and courage we need to face the day ahead, and help us to trust in your presence and protection.
We pray that your presence would be with us today and always, and that we would have faith in your goodness and faithfulness.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen!
